The mission of this 49-unit mixed-use housing project is to provide “a warm and welcoming environment which will encourage socialization and provide not just shelter, but a sense of home and pride”. A majority of the site contains an underground parking structure, resulting in a challenging hardscape and landscape design. A significant Sequoia and several large Douglas Fir Trees were preserved. A small plaza area with public art and water feature identify the entry. The “back yard” includes a walking path with exercise stations, pet area, covered patio and large p-patch.
